In the heart of Italy lies Orvieto, a destination steeped in both natural wonder and historical significance. Its dramatic cliffs and intricate tunnels paint a landscape of unparalleled beauty, inviting exploration and enchantment. With roots tracing back to the Etruscans, Orvieto boasts a heritage as rich as its famed wine cellars, born from ancient wells. This fusion of geological marvels and cultural legacy forms the essence of Orvieto's allure. A beacon of authenticity and refinement, Orvieto promises visitors an unforgettable journey through time, where each moment is flavored with the essence of Italy's storied past and vibrant present.
Branding

For Orvieto's branding, I wanted to encompass everything that I encountered when I visited the town. Orvieto has their own brand of wine, so I started with the shape of a wine bottle.
The tunnels underneath the city have a vast and varried history, which could also be manipulated to look like grape vines.
A large part of those tunnels history has to do with the birds they raised and kept in them, and in the center of the city there lies a beautiful Duomo that has over 400 years of history.
All of these elements combined I feel, create a complex yet intricate logo.

Packaging
What better way to show off a logo that looks like wine than with a wine casing.
I elaborated on the original design, extending each element to encompass their own wall of the box. Each side with an illustration has a text box with information on each little part.
While the die lines on these images are currently too small to read, I put their full versions down bellow for anyone interested.

Bottle and Box
These are the final versions of the packaging for the wine bottle I decided on. I used a mix of AI, photography, and editing in order to make the design appear natural.
